Nokia has announced deals today with both videogames giant Electronic Arts and Warner Bros to bring new content to its mobile portal, Nokia Content Discoverer.
The agreement with EA will see seven EA titles made available for mobile gaming on Nokia smartphones. The games have been named as: Tetris, Tetris Mania, The Sims 2, Doom, FIFA 06, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 06, and FIFA Street 2.
EA has said that it intends to support the launch of Nokia’s next generation mobile platform in mid-2007 with top EA titles specially designed for Nokia S60 devices.
In other news, the agreement with Warner Bros Entertainment means that the company will have its own mobile content storefront available through Nokia Content Discoverer.
At launch, mobile subscribers in Europe and Asia with Nokia S60 and Series 40 handsets will be able to explore the Warner Bros Entertainment channel to download images, tones, games and video clips with various themes from Looney Tunes, DC Comics, Superman Returns, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, V for Vendetta, Dukes of Hazzard, and Batman Begins.
