Telltale Games is to continue its The Walking Dead game franchise - with a new downloadable level, titled "400 Days", due this July.

Those familiar with the point-and-click epic - which is based on Robert Kirkman's graphic novels - will know all too well how the story unfolds. And like many a movie made into a drawn-out trilogy that moves away from the original plan, we're sure plenty of fans will be left pondering: "How've they kept that going?"

The answer is simple: the latest adventure focuses on an entirely separate group of characters - bye-bye Clementine - who are also struggling for survival in the zombie-ridden world. The Walking Dead: 400 Days follows a group of five characters throughout their struggle, so expect more of the same quality voice acting and explorative gameplay to be the driving factors in the game.

For now all we've seen is a 77-second trailer showing off some of the events that foreshadow the story of Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes. And boy, does it look good. Despite not a word uttered on screen by any of the new characters, the brooding landscape shots and creepy scenes have already got us excited at the prospect of this latest downloadable game.

The Walking Dead: 400 Days will be available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PS Vita, PC, Mac and iOS platforms upon release, priced just $4.99 (£3.20). However you will need to have already bought at least one of the previous five episodes of The Walking Dead for the title to run.
