Angry Birds finally hits games consoles on Friday (28 September), in the shape of Angry Birds Trilogy for Xbox 260, PS3 and Nintendo 3DS.

Activision is publishing the console version of the best-selling application and has included three Angry Birds games in one. There are also 19 exclusive levels never seen before, new acheivements and trophies and, the company says, "over 100 hours of addictive gameplay".

The publisher has also sent Pocket-lint the official launch trailer for the game, so here it is. It shows the Angry Birds themselves entering the real world. However, we're slightly bemused as to why people would be grinning like Cheshire cats after their car, barbeque, etc has been attacked and damaged by the feathered funsters, but maybe that's just us.

The console edition of Angry Birds will come a day after the natural sequel to the series hits Android and iOS. Bad Piggies is due to hit the App Store and Google Play on Thursday 27 September.
