Part of Covent Garden in London's West End is to be turned into Arkham City tonight as Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has taken over the Freemason's Hall on Long Acre in celebration of the launch of Batman: Arkham City. And one of the events it plans for tonight, when darkness has fallen, is to shine a real life Bat Signal into the night sky.
The person chosen to switch on the giant spotlight is the winner of a Facebook competition the games publisher has been running. Other themed stunts planned for later also include an appearance by Catwoman on the side of the building, a new one-off lighting scheme, and posters taken from the game itself will be unfurled along the sides.
Pocket-lint visited the venue - which also, incidentally, doubles as the MI5 building in BBC TV show Spooks - earlier today to talk to some of the creative geniuses behind the sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum, and spied Batman himself watching Londoners and tourists wandering about the streets below.
So, if you're in the area tonight, have a wander over to the site, if it's anything like the BT Tower Star Wars lightsaber stunt it'll be worth a gander.
Batman: Arkham City is released tomorrow for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Pocket-lint will be bringing you an extensive review soon.
