With all the big news regarding Amazon going live with its Appstore, and Apple's subsequent suing of Amazon for using said name, you may have missed the really exciting development - Angry Birds Rio has finally landed.

As well as being a free offering in the Amazon Appstore for Android users (for launch day only), the game has also landed in Apple's App Store in both iPhone and iPad versions.

In total there are four offerings in the App Store (two premium and two free), with the paid-for options featuring 60 new levels with all new birds and villains (monkeys not pigs).

Rovio is also promising episode updates throughout 2011.

Angry Birds Rio for iPhone is priced at 59p, with the HD iPad version on sale for £1.79.

Expect to see the game hitting our App of the Day feature sooner than you can say "that sounds like Jermaine from Flight of the Concords".
