Mobile phone game developer Gameloft, which has been hugely successful with its titles for iPhone, iPad and Android handsets, has released five Windows Phone 7 versions of some of its most popular games.

Four of them, Assassin's Creed, Earthworm Jim, Uno and Brain Challenge, are being launched in the UK (and the rest of Europe) today, while they'll be joined by a fifth (US and Canada-specific) title, The Oregon Trail, in time for the operating system's launch in the US on 8 November.

Along with these five games, the developer is committed to supporting Windows Phone 7, and will be announcing additions to the app line-up imminently.

So far, both Earthworm Jim and Uno have hit the UK Windows Phone 7 Marketplace, costing £3.99 each. Both Assassin's Creed and Brain Challenge are yet to appear, although we expect them to later, and prices are therefore unconfirmed. However, Pocket-lint fully expects them to ape the former games' tags.
