Samsung Galaxy Player 5.8: Small tablet or giant MP3 player?
Samsung has announced the Samsung Galaxy Player 5.8, an MP3 player with - you guessed it - a 5.8-inch 960 x 540 LCD AMOLED display.
Packing Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz rather than Jelly Bean, you'll get 16GB or 32GB of in-built storage, a micro SD for further expansion, and a VGA camera if you really must take a picture of yourself or have a Skype call.
Power is provided by a large 2,500mAh battery, to ensure you don't run out of battery 10 minutes after firing up that screen. Other specs include Wi-Fi b/g/n and GPS. Our Korean is a bit rusty but we believe it will also have 1GB of RAM.
Expect to hear more about the Player at IFA at the end of August. Pocket-lint will be covering the European trade show to bring you all the latest news as it happens.
