Motorola has decided that May is the month to roll out a storm of new photo frames, and who are we to argue? Fresh in the Pocket-lint inbox comes news of the LS700, LS420, LS720D, LS1000 and LS1000W.
They're separated into three groups - 4.2-inch, 7-inch and 10-inch, and the model number reflects the size. Let's start at the low end with the LS420, which is actually two photo-frames in one. A pair of 4.2-inch displays are powered from one memory card, either displaying two photos side-by-side or one photo next to a clock or calendar.
Moving on up, the LS700 is an entry level 7-inch frame with programmable on/off times and the option of portrait or landscape, whereas the LS720D offers the same, but larger, dual-screen functionality as the LS420, along with an MP3 player, built-in speakers, 512MB of internal memory, an accelerometer, and an infra-red remote.
Finally, the LS1000 has a 10-inch, 800 x 600 display, MP3 player, on/off timer, accelerometer, 512MB of storage, speakers and remote control, whereas the LS1000W includes all of that and adds Wi-Fi capabilities; enabling you to email photos to an address to get them to show up on the screen. It also supports internet radio and RSS feeds.
Pricing ranges from £50 to £200 depending on spec - £50 for the LS700, £80 for the LS420, £130 for the LS720D, £150 for the LS1000 and £200 for the LS1000W. All are available now.
