New 16GB iPod touch with iSight camera appears on Apple Store for £159

Apple has quietly updated the US Apple Store with a new 16GB iPod touch, it features an iSight camera plus wrist strap loop and is coming to the UK soon priced at a new low of £159.

The old 16GB iPod touch was missing a camera, had no loop wrist strap and cost more. The new 16GB iPod touch comes with the same 5-megapixel, 1080p iSight camera that the 32GB and 64GB iPod touch models feature. It also has the same body as those iPods which include a loop for the iPod wrist strap.

The 16GB iPod touch is available in black, space grey, pink, yellow, blue, and (Product)RED.

All three iPods (16/32/64GB) include a 4-inch Retina display, a forward facing FaceTime HD camera, and are powered by Apple's A5 processor. They also run iOS 7 and ship with Apple's EarPods.

The 32GB iPod touch is £199 while the 64GB iPod touch is £249.

At the time of writing the UK Apple Store was not yet updated with the 16GB iPod touch model available. That should refresh shortly.
