More information on Amazon's rumoured "big screen" Kindle has emerged, following recent reports about the imminent launch of the device from the New York Times.
The latest Kindle will be dubbed the "DX" and that larger screen is now said to come in at 9.7 inches - compared to the 6 inches of the current model.
The larger screen surface means the Kindle will be more newspaper-friendly, with the sources suggesting the DX is to be a "digital lifeline" to the newspaper industry with cheaper, bundled subscriptions rumoured.
In addition, the DX is thought to get a built-in PDF reader, an improved web browser and will also be aimed at the college/university market for textbooks.
Amazon has scheduled a press conference for 6 May in the States, so we'll bring you more when we have it.
