October was a big month for Pocket-lint with our redesigned site going live that saw new features and a new style, including customisable homepage modules for users.

Nintendo also had a big month with the launch of the slightly revamped DS handheld - the DSi - announced for pocket gamers worldwide.

Mobile broadband got a logo in an industry-wide initiative, the BlackBerry Storm was announced for the UK and Apricot Computers re-entered the UK computer market with the PicoBook Pro netbook.

Also in October, the T-Mobile G1 went on sale in the UK, Microsoft unveiled its cloud computing solution with the announcement of Azure, and LittleBigPlanet went on sale, although with a delay due to dubious lyrics in the soundtrack.

The big hardware launch for the month was Apple's new "Brick" MacBooks that saw the new notebooks with an Ive-designed "Unibody" enclosure and multi-touch glass trackpads.
