Details have emerged about Archos' newest portable video player, the 704-WiFi, its largest so far.

It's quite hefty at 22oz but boasts a large 7-inch touchscreen to make viewing video that much easier.

Storage is taken care of with an 80GB hard drive, while Wi-Fi lets you stream internet video and other files to the player.

It supports MPEG4, AVI, WMV, MP3 and WMA files as well as Microsoft's PlaysForSure.

If that's not enough, it also has stereo speakers to enhance your mini cinematic experience, as well as an Opera web browser to make surfing the net a breeze.

If you want to shortcut the hassle of downloading video to your PC and formatting correctly to put on the device, you can also purchase an option Digital Video Recorder dock for recording TV shows to the player.

Battery life lasts for up to 5 hours of video, but this tasty little package will cost you big bucks - $550 in the US.
