Earlier on in the week we told you about a bikni that lets you know when you are burning in the sun. This week it's a watch that includes a UV sensor to help you protect your eyes and skin from UV radiation.
The Seawatch UV has a UV sensor located on the front of the watch takes a reading every ten seconds and displays a UV index number, as well as a simple bar graph on the LCD screen to give a visual indication of the UV index.
To create a further level of protection the UV Master is fitted with two user adjustable alarms and these sound when the UV radiation reaches the levels set by the wearer.
All this is built into a normal wristwatch that has all the usual functions such as current time mode, daily alarm mode, chronograph mode and timer mode.
The values of the Index range from zero upward and the higher the Index value, the greater the potential for damage to the skin and eye, and the less time it takes for harm to occur.
The watch has gone on sale in the UK priced at £29.99.
