A new 3D printer from German studio BigRep is so huge that you'll be able to print your own furniture.

Previously 3D printing has been fun for hobbyists and designers but has offered limited real-world use. Now the mighty BigRep One is here to change the way we look at 3D printing.

The One is 45 x 39 x 47-inches in size, meaning you can churn out up to 46 cubic feet, or 1.3 metres cubed - enough for a side table. And those not into stark modern furniture are not limited to simple plastic printing either. The One is capable of printing off using a mixture of wood fibres and polymers.

The BigRep one uses professional components to achieve a 100 micro level of resolution via its two tool heads - meaning multi-material and colours are possible. The One is able to print with PLA, ABS, PVA, HDPE, PC, NYLON, TPE, LAYWOOD and LAYBRICK.

So how much will your own furniture printing device set you back? A hefty $39,000.
