A couple of weeks after the Archos GamePad 2 leaked online, the company has finally confirmed a release date, perks and pricing for its second-generation gaming handheld.

Archos has revealed the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean-powered GamePad 2 will launch in Europe at the end of October, and it will cost just £179.99. For that price, you'll also get Gamloft's Asphalt 8: Airborne and Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour pre-loaded on the GampePad 2.

The GamePad 2 features a 7-inch HD display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and IPS technology. It also has an A9 quad-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz, quad-Core graphics processor and 2GB of system RAM. There's even incurved dual thumb-sticks, double buttons on each shoulder and a single part directional pad.

Other noteworthy specs include a Wi-Fi display, HDMI, front stereo speakers, front camera for video calling, 8GB or 16GB storage sizes and a microSD slot (64GB compatible) with app2sd support for extra storage.
