It looks great, it saves power and it could be coming to your home in 2012. OLED wallpaper company LOMOX has been handed a £454,000 grant to develop their technology and bring it to market by the UK Carbon Trust.

The flexible OLED film runs at 3-5W of power - 2.5 times more efficient than energy saving bulbs - and could save up to 2,500,000 tonnes of CO2 by 2020. Better still, it would only require solar panels of batteries to run it which would make it perfect for places where no mains power is available.

The technology can be stuck to any design surface, so expect to start seeing a lot of this stuff on TV house make over programs soon.
