Mobile network Three has launched its first home broadband service with completely unlimited data.

For £22 per month you get unlimited data for home use and no fixed line connection is necessary.

Instead, it utilises a Huawei HomeFi mobile router and 4G SIM to provide a network connection.

Up to 32 devices can be connected to the router through Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and access the internet. There is also an Ethernet port on the back for a wired connection.

As for the mobile data connection, Three doesn't quote maximum or average speeds for its 4G network, but having tested our own 4G phone using Three in a location just outside London, we regularly managed just higher than 40Mbps for downloads. That's very decent in comparison with usual fixed line broadband for around the same price.

We can't vouch for everywhere though. Like with any network, signal strength can differ in alternative locations.

The Three unlimited HomeFi plan is available now for £22 per month with no upfront cost for the router. It's on a 24 month contract and you also get Three's free Go Binge incentive for Netflix and other streaming apps access at no extra cost.

You can find the deal on Three's web store.
