The Game Awards is always a great occasion and it's happening today.

As well as announcing the very best titles of the year, it debuts a host of new, exciting trailers for games coming up over the next few months - years even.

Hosted by Geoff Keighley, it'll be opening its doors to the public for the first time in three years, so there'll be plenty of whooping and hollering.

When do The Game Awards 2022 start?

The Game Awards 2022 will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles later today, Thursday 8 December 2022. It will start at 16:30 PST (19:30 EST) locally, which means it'll begin at 00:30 GMT in the UK and these times in other regions:

How to watch The Game Awards 2022

The Game Awards 2022 main show will be streamed online in 4K. You can watch it via the video at the top of this page.

It will also be hosted on the Awards' official YouTube and Twitch channels.

What to expect

Hosted annually by Geoff Keighley, The Game Awards always attracts big name stars and highlights games coming up the following year. Daniel Craig is one star tipped to be there.

Electronic Arts has confirmed that the full trailer for its Fallen Order sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, will premiere during the event. We're awaiting news on other big games that will be part of the showcase.
