Wahoo Elemnt Rival review: Leap of faith?

There are as many features to this sports watch as some (ahem) rivals -- but we believe that it will grow over time into a more fully formed product. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
As it stands, the Rival's GPS tracking, heart-rate monitor and other sensors are quick to react, recording cycling, running and swimming with ease. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
Record in duathlon mode and the Rival automatically detects the transition from running to cycling and switches over automatically - a great little feature. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
The app isn't as deep as some competitors, with only a handful of watch faces and additional features available right now. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
We find the Rival fine in its current form, even without extra bells and whistles feature. Give it time, however, and we think (well, hope) it'll become super. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
