Cowboy 4 electric bike review: Making the best better?

Great design
The Cowboy 4 looks superb, shown here in black, but also available in gray and green. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
New addition
It now has a Cockpit 'dashboard' for QuadLock mobile cases - so it can charge your phone as you ride and is great for GPS directions. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
Superb assist
The bike has a simple on or off assist function that will keep you cycling with very little effort. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
Built-in lights
The lights are nicely included in the frame and look really great, as well as working splendidly. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
Ace in the sleeve
The best thing about a Cowboy bike is how easily you can remove the battery for charging remotely, which is super convenient - not all competitors offer this. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
An app and a tap
The companion app for the bike is slick and well-designed with useful controls. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
A secret?
You wouldn't even necessarily know the bike is electric just by glancing at it. Which is good, as you don't want anyone pinching it - given its $3K cost! (image credit: Pocket-lint)
Our verdict
The Cowboy 4 is a superb electric bike, but the third-gen model is often on sale and might be better for riders who can forego the Cockpit & higher torque. (image credit: Pocket-lint)
