Tesla plans to unveil an electric pickup truck later today.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk will be present to announce the truck, which the billionaire entrepreneur calls Cybertruck. It's supposed to be inspired by the film Blade Runner and will have a “heart-stopping” design. Here's what you need to know, including how you can watch it be unveiled.

When is Tesla's Cybertruck event?

Tesla plans to unveil Cybertruck at Tesla’s design studio, which shares a lot with SpaceX’s headquarters in LA. The event is scheduled to begin at 8pm PT (11pm ET or 4am UK time) on 21 November 2019. Keep in mind the annual LA Auto Show is also happening this week.

How to watch Tesla's Cybertruck event

Similar to past Tesla events, a live stream should be available on Tesla’s website. The company has yet to confirm that, however, so be sure to check back here, as we will update this post with the latest. Also, stay tuned to Tesla's Twitter:

What to expect from the show

Musk has been toying with the idea of a truck since at least 2013. He's even teased Tesla's electric pickup several times, comparing it to vehicles like the Ford F-150 and Porsche 911, though he's also said Tesla Cybertruck will offer better utility and performance than those vehicles.

It should also seat six and offer 400 to 500 miles of range at the top-end. The priciest version will even be powered by a dual-motor setup. Speaking of price, the Tesla Cybertruck should start at $50,000. There's no word on how much the Tesla truck will cost at the far end of the scale, but Musk has promised a towing capacity of 300,000 pounds. Other than that, details are scarce.

We don't even know what the Tesla Cybertruck will look like - save for a dark image teased a while back.
