WarnerMedia announced earlier this year that HBO Max will begin the first phase of its international rollout in June. Now, the company is confirming that rollout is currently underway, with its flagship streaming service finally launching in 39 territories across Latin America and the Caribbean.

Previously, HBO Max was only available in the US. The ultimate goal, WarnerMedia has said, is for HBO Max to be available in dozens of other countries around the globe. After the Latin America rollout, WarnerMedia will focus on transitioning HBO services in Europe. Existing HBO-branded streaming services in the Nordics, Spain, Central Europe, and Portugal are scheduled to be upgraded to HBO Max later this year.

It's unclear if the UK will get HBO Max.

Beyond the US, here are the countries and territories with HBO Max now:

Anguilla, Antigua, Argentina, Aruba, BVI., Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Cayman Islands, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Curacao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Montserrat, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, St. Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos, Uruguay, and Venezuela.

As part of its international launch, WarnerMedia said it plans to fully replace the HBO Go app with the HBO Max app that's already available in the US. Customers who pay for HBO Go through WarnerMedia will become automatic new subscribers of HBO Max. Also, it has pledged to produce 100 local originals in Latin America over the next two years, and later in 2021, soccer fans in Brazil and Mexico will get UEFA Champions League matches.

HBO Max is available for subscription at HBOMax.com. It’s accessible from supported smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, and compatible streaming devices. It includes two plans: The Standard Plan for all compatible devices, and the Mobile plan for compatible smartphones and tablets.
