Samsung has officially unveiled its Galaxy Buds Live true wireless earphones on, as part of its major Unpacked online event. Just as was trailed by multiple leaks in the last week, these kidney-bean earbuds make some nice upgrades on previous Galaxy Buds.

The new version comes in three colours, Mystic White, Mystic Bronze, and Mystic Black - so, clearly, mysticism is on Samsung's mind. They're available to pre-order as of now from Samsung's website and a launch offer is available to throw in a wireless charging pad for them.

The changes to the Buds Live aren't just skin deep, either, with new, bigger 12mm drivers powering their sound and giving much punchier bass than before, apparently.

There are also three embedded microphones in each earbud to make for clearer recording quality when you're on a call, plus the feature that gives the Buds Live their name - active noise cancellation (ANC).

Samsung says that this will adapt smartly to your circumstances, meaning that a loud train can become a perfect bubble for some quiet reading without making you miss announcements from the conductor.

You also get six hours of listening on one charge, and 21 hours in total when accounting for the extra juice held in that jewellery box-inspired case. A five-minute charge will get you an hour of listening time, meanwhile, which is also exemplary.

The Buds Live cost £179 and should ship by 20 August - we'll have our thoughts on them up very soon.
