Audi has launched the Audi Mini Runner, which it called an "engineless addition" to the Mini model range that's also an ideal Christmas gift for children.

Touted as a "two for the price of one" vehicle, the Audi Mini Runner actually sports two wheels instead of four. It's a dual-purpose cycle that serves as a training bike for children and doubles as - or converts into, rather - a freewheeling scooter.

Audi said the Audi Mini Runner is "spawned from the same production DNA as the celebrated R8 supercar", and it's specifically perfect for three to eight-year-olds.

The Audi Mini Runner is available to buy through Audi Centres and the Audi Online shop. Available now for £279, it has lightweight aluminium alloy frame and comes in white, black and red.

Finally - a convertible Audi that you can afford. Too bad it's only a bike/scooter. Happy cycling, kids!
