Just when we thought that we had seen the latest T series camera from Sony, it turns out another one comes our way. This time it is the Sony DSC-T9 launched in Japan, and officially announced in the UK tomorrow.
We are still waiting on more specific details, however according to a Sony Japan web page the camera will feature a CCD sensor that offers 6 megapixels with 3x optical zoom and a 2.5in TFT LCD display to view images on.
Judging by the pictures the new model will come in a similar ultra thin credit card design to the current DSC-T5 and DSC-T7 models.
The size of the T9 89.7mm x 54.9mm x 20.6mm (16.8mm without the sliding lens cap). It is a couple mm smaller than the DSC-T7 (91.7 x 60 x 14.8mm), but 2mm thicker.
The camera will also have 58MB on board memory to save images on to without the need for a Memory Stick Duo card.
Those looking to get one before Christmas will be disappointed by the news that we won't be getting the camera in the UK until January next year.
More details when we get them tomorrow.
