Sony US has launched the latest model in its T range of digital cameras; The Cyber-shot DSC-T5.

Like the previous models, the T3 and the T7, the new camera will feature Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar folding-optical-path design optics, a 5.1 megapixel resolution, 3x optical zoom lens, and a 2.5in Clear Photo LCD screen.

The camera will also come with 10 scene modes, 32 MB of internal memory and Memory Stick card slot.

Sony is also promising an increased battery life compared to previous T Series models, with up to 240 shots per charge.

Unlike previous models however, the DSC-T5 will be available in four “autumnal” colors - red, champagne gold, silver and black - with a sliding matte silver lens cover.

The Cyber-shot T5 will be available in America in September for about $350 (red, black and champagne gold options will be available in October).

The camera comes supplied with a NP-FT1 InfoLithium battery, BC-CS3 battery charger, multi-connector cable, wrist strap and software CD-ROM.

Pocket-lint is waiting on confirmation from Sony in the UK as to the availability of the camera here.

We will keep you posted.

UPDATE: Sony has now confirmed the DSC-T5 will be coming to the UK in mid Spetember, with a price of around £280.
