Samsung has unveiled its first High Definition Digital Camera.
The NV24HD joins the NV range but is unique in offering high definition technology.
The 10-megapixel NV24HD allows users to record high definition videos but also boasts a High Definition Multimedia Interface and Consumer Electronics Control (HDMI) "delivering crystal-clear images and movies via a single cable", explains Samsung.
The NV24HD also comes with a remote control for use with compatible Samsung TVs – so users can control their photos as they watch them on the big screen.
720p resolution video can be recorded at up to 30 frames per second and can be viewed on the 2.5-inch AM-OLED Screen which has been specially designed to provide a faster response time, a wider viewing angle and higher image quality, continues Samsung.
Alike Samsung's other recent additions to the NV range, the NV24HD also includes dual picture stabilisation.
Other features include Advanced Shake Reduction (ASR) to 0.7 seconds, advanced noise reduction which supports up to ISO 3200 and a local contrast control which enables the camera to compensate the brightness of a shadowed subject in backlit conditions.
The NV24HD is priced £249 and will be available from March.
