Samsung will announced the Samsung Galaxy Camera at its Samsung Mobile Unpacked event in the next couple of hours, according to leaked photos and specs that have already turned up online.

Leaked by, the new camera will be powered by Android, allowing users to install apps and more.

According to the phone site that has clearly managed to grab the press pack before the official launch event, the Galaxy Camera will feature a 21x zoom lens and a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor for some image quality that should put your phone to shame.

Interactions with Android will take place through the Cameras’s 4.8-inch HD SLCD display.

There will be both 3G + WiFi and 4G + WiFi options for connectivity, and for automatic uploads to the cloud.

The camera will supposedly feature a 1.4GHz quad-core SoC processor and come with 8GB of memory on board. MicroSD will allow further expansion and presumably you should be able to save to Dropbox or other cloud storage services too. The Samsung Galaxy S 3 comes with 50GB of Dropbox storage - wouldn't it be nice if the camera offered the same here?
