Nikon has announced a new buffer memory expansion service for the D3 Digital SLR camera.

This means the number of shots possible with a single burst of continuous shooting will be increased, and therefore expand the range of shooting possibilities. In fact, in many cases, the number of shots is more than doubled.

The service, which is available now, can be carried out through a Nikon repair centre. Nikon asks that when you return a camera for this service, include a note requesting the "D3 buffer memory expansion" with your personal details. The company also stresses that all camera settings will be reverted to default once the service has been performed.

If you fancy getting more shots for your click, log onto the Nikon website to find out where your nearest centre is, and contact them for cost and timing information.
