Kodak has announced the launch of a new digital photo frame that has a rechargable battery, so a little more portable that your plugged-in models.

The Kodak Easyshare S730 boasts a battery life of an hour, so long enough, Kodak claims, to pass the frame around to show off holiday pics or the like.

And, helping you to show off such pics are a variety of viewing modes, including a "Picture Finder" feature that finds pics taken on the same date as an image selected.

In addition, there's a full-screen slideshow, clock or calendar view and "collage mode", which scrolls through images and shows four randomly selected images at a time.

With 1GB of internal memory, that Kodak says is good for 8000 pics, the frame offers touch-sensitive controls, a motion sensor, USB port and memory card reader.

Capable of playing video and music, and complete with the software required for PC hook-up, the Kodak Easyshare S730 will be available in the UK for £139.99 from July.
