To celebrate the release of The Amazing Spider-Man on Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray and DVD, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment UK sent world-renowned parkour specialist Axel Dupre on to the streets of London to become a real-life Spider-Man for the day.
Long shots were generally filmed using Canon DSLRs, the EOS 5D Mark II and EOS 7D, while point of view and some of the closer wide shots were captured using a GoPro HD Hero2.
In fact, there's an additional edit of the action using purely the HD Hero2 footage, which we like. A lot.
Perhaps they should have accompanied the clips with a new version of the classic Spider-Man cartoon theme song - the one from the 1960s:
"Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can. Jumps a lot and stands on his hands. That's because he's only a man, Albeit a very talented and bra-ave one. Here comes the Spider-Man.... [Fade to end]."
