Fujifilm has announced the launch of the 10-megapixel Z200fd, the latest addition to its range of ultra-slim FinePix cameras.

At only 19.8 mm thick, the Z200fd is a perfect pocket camera that packs a pretty good punch when it comes to whats inside too too.

Features include a 5x Fujinon optical zoom lens, face detection technology, intelligent red-eye removal and Dual Image Stabilisation.

There are also two brand new self-timer modes, Couple Timer and Group Timer, that should stop those dodgy extended arm shots. As they both work with the face detection technology, the camera won't take the photo if it senses a face is out of the frame, so you'll always be sure to squeeze everyone in.

Another nice touch is Fujifilm's Intelligent Flash system, which sets the power output to achieve natural foreground illumination with balanced background exposure for more natural looking photos.

If you can't decide whether to use a flash or not, Natural Light plus Flash mode takes two photos one after another, one with flash and one without. Both photos are then displayed side by side for quick comparison so you can choose and keep the one you prefer.

When you've taken your photos, Z200fd has a blog mode to resize images for sites such as Facebook, or auction mode, which combines four photos into one from - perfect for eBay users.

As you would expect from the FinePix Z range, the camera really looks the part. Housed in an elegant metal body, you can choose from four colours - black and red, pink, silver and black. A diagnonally sliding lens and an Z logo that lights up when the camera is switched on, just add to its funky design.

The Z200fd will be available from August, but currently no prices have been announced. We'll keep you in the loop.
