Fujifilm has announced the launch of the FinePix V10 Zoom a digital camera that comes with a 5.1 million pixel Super CCD HR sensor and 3.4x optical zoom and built-in games.

The compact camera also offers a 3-inch 230k colour LCD screen and quick response times of just 0.01 second shutter lag and a 1.5 second start-up.

Following hot on the heals of Samsung's announcement of its i6 PMP model, the FinePix V10 Zoom turns into a games machine when not being used as a camera.

Games include a shooting game, blockbuster and a maze puzzle, which have been built into the camera itself.

Worrying that everything might be too complicated Fujifilm has also included a tutorial on the accompanying xD-Picture Card to demonstrate its range of functions.

A new shooting mode, "Natural Light & with Flash", captures two images in quick succession, with and without flash so that the user can make an on-the-spot comparison of the images.

The FinePix V10 Zoom will be available from UK retailers in March 2006. Pricing and stockists will be announced nearer the time.
