The Fujifilm FinePix SL300 is a "bridge" digital camera launched in January that offers 30x optical zoom in a fairly compact casing.

So excited by the launch of a black version in March, Fujifilm has announced a new red and white model to buy in the coming weeks in the UK.

Here at Pocket-lint, we couldn't resist tracking the new colour versions down and snapping them from all angles for you to enjoy.  

Following in the tradition of the popular S-series cameras, Fujifilm promise that "these models offer the image quality and versatility of a DSLR combined with the convenience and portability of a compact camera".

The core spec of the new cameras includes a 1/2.3-inch 14 mega-pixel CCD sensor, a 3-inch LCD screen, ISO modes from 100 to 6400 and 720p HD movie capture all for £229 - a price that's not to be grumbled at.

In the hand the camera is nice to hold, feels well built and that red colour really vibrant. This isn't a quick lick of paint that is likely to chip off.

Sadly we weren’t able to give the camera a good run for its money as we were inside, it didn't have a memory card in it, and the room we were in was pretty dull. Still, we've requested a model for review from Fujifilm to start work on our full review of the Fujifilm FinePix SL300 30x optical zoom packing camera.

In the meantime suck up that red. 

Oh and the white model looks pretty clean as well, although we suspect it would get dirty very quickly indeed.
