Canon has launched two new PowerShot models, a new Ixus and two new digital cameras in its A series range.

The new models; the PowerShot SX100, the Canon PowerShot SD960 IS, the Canon PowerShot SD860 IS and the Canon PowerShot A650 IS and A720 IS will be available later this year and offer between 8 to 12 megapixels.

The PowerShot SX100 IS is the company's first super zoom digital compact camera under the SX range.

It features a 10x optical zoom lens with optical Image Stabilizer, 8.0 Megapixel image sensor, and DIGIC III processor, Canon's Enhanced Face Detection Technology, Red-Eye Correction and Auto ISO Shift features.

Other features include a 2.5-inch LCD screen, 18 shooting modes including full manual control, and a Digital Tele-Converter and Safety Zoom.

Canon has also launched a new flagship IXUS model today. The Digital IXUS 960 IS will sports a new design made from titanium and a whopping 12.1 Megapixel sensor, while the new Digital IXUS 860 will come with 8 megapixels.

Zoom has been increased to 3.7x optical and Canon has also added an Image Stabilizer into the mix in an attempt to give you blur free images.

The Digital IXUS 860 IS will be available from September 2007, priced at £299 / €449 RRP inc. VAT. The digital IXUS 960 IS will be available from September 2007 priced at £369 / €549 RRP inc. VAT.

The PowerShot SX100 IS will be available from September 2007 priced £299 / €449 RRP inc. VAT and is exclusive to DSGi.

The PowerShot A650 IS will available from September 2007 priced at £329 / €489 RRP inc. VAT and the PowerShot A720 IS will be available from the end of August priced at £229 / €339 RRP inc. VAT exclusively at Jessops.
