Aside from launching two new Ixus models this morning, Canon has also launched two new models in it’s A series range, the PowerShot A570 IS and PowerShot A560.
The new cameras both feature similar specs including a 7.1-megapixel sensor, 4x optical zoom lens and identical to the Ixus models Face Detection Technology and Red-Eye Correction options.
Canon, who have focused on making it easier to take pictures rather than include options like Wi-Fi on this years new releases has said that the new technologies mean you can "Switch on Canon's clever Face Detection Technology, for instance, and the camera automatically picks out up to nine faces in the frame and adjusts focus, exposure and flash for optimal results".
With Red-Eye Correction available in Playback mode, users can quickly check their shots and then eliminate unsightly red-eye without needing a PC or special software.
For photographers looking for a little more control, the cameras also feature the option to set the ISO setting to ISO 1600 allowing users to snap away in low lighting conditions like parties.
The PowerShot A570 IS adds on an advanced optical Image Stabilizer, ensuring blur-free shots by compensating for unwanted camera shake.
The new models will both be available from March. The PowerShot A570 IS will be priced at £249 and the PowerShot A560 will be priced at £209.
