Tamron has announced the development of the world's longest range 15x zoom lens, the AF18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC.
The ultra high power zoom lens delivers the equivalent focal length of 28-419mm and designed exclusively for digital SLR cameras with the smaller, APS-C sized image sensors.
The new lens delivers top image quality over its entire zoom range and is equipped with a highly effective Vibration Compensation (VC) mechanism. This anti-shake system ensures sharp handheld photography even at the longest telephoto settings.
You can therefore enjoy the convenience of handheld photography in virtually any situation, from shooting candid images, to covering sporting events, to news photography, without worrying about camera shake having an adverse effect on your image quality.
With its vast zoom-range, the Tamron AF18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC lens enables the you to cover pretty much any photographic subject from wide angle to ultra telephoto by simply turning the zoom control.
The new lens will be made available in Canon and Nikon mounts, but availability and pricing is yet to be announced.
