The AT-X 116 PRO DX ultra-wide angle lens from Tokina is now available in the UK through distributors Kenro, providing some seriously wide images without "fish-eye" distortion.

The 11-16mm lens is compatible with DSLR’s which feature APS-C sized sensors and features a fast f/2.8 aperture for better photography in low-light situations.

The lens is based on the highly rated AT-X 124 PRO DX and it shares many of its predecessor’s qualities, although the 116 has a slightly shorter zoom range than the 124 to maintain optical quality at wide apertures.

The AT-X 116 PRO DX boasts Tokina’s One-touch Focus Clutch Mechanism. This feature allows the photographer to switch between Auto Focus and Manual Focus by snapping the focus ring forward for Auto and back towards the camera to focus manually.

Kenro managing director, Paul Kench said: “We are really excited about this new lens as it allows the photographer to achieve all the impact of really wide angle images without the usual bending at the edges that a fish-eye lens gives.

"Those looking for a lens that will add something special to their photos, even in low lighting conditions, will be impressed with the image and build quality, especially at this price point.”

The lens is available with either a Canon (TOK120) or a Nikon (TOK119) mount and will retail for £489.99.
