Oregon Scientific has announced two new additions to its line of hands-free, waterproof action video cameras.

Building on the success of the award-winning ATC2K, the ATC3K and ATC5K will be available this summer, and will include new feeatures such as a wider field of view and expandable memory.

The range of ATC action cameras strap on to just about anything, be it a helmet, arm, leg, bike or canoe. This allows users to capture all of the action while keeping their hands free.

The video cameras are waterproof, and also designed for all terrains which means users can take them through all kinds of conditions, from dirt and rain to extreme heat and snow.

The digital video footage is recorded in .avi format, which works with most video editing software available for both PCs and MACs. Included cables allow users to watch their videos instantly on a computer or TV.

The ATC3K features a 48 degree field of view with improved CMOS sensor and an internal memory expandable to 4GB with an SD memory card.

The ATC5K features a 1.5 inch colour LCD TFT screen for instant playback, photo capture for still shots and a whopping 53 degree field of view.

Both versions are waterproof, however, where both of these pocket-friendly cameras stand out it with the multiple included mounting attachments for recording your various exploits.

The ATC range from Oregon Scientific is only available in the States at present. The ATC3K will be available in July for an approximate retail price of $149.99 and the ATC5K will be available in August for $199.99.
