BenQ has launched the BenQ T800, an upgrade to the T700 and what it is claiming is the world's slimmest 8 megapixel camera.
The camera, which will come with a 3-inch touchscreen display will feature a PENTAX lens, super shake-free mode and high ISO options as well as a Face Tracking function and Z-lighting function.
The Face Tracking function automatically detects and tracks up to nine human faces while the Z-lighting function is an in-camera photo editing function that adjusts the brightness of the subjects in backlit photos so that the subjects are clearly presented.
The compact camera is equipped with a Super Shake Free system with a sensitivity of 2000 ISO and a high setting at 6400 ISO that can be engaged during movie mode.
Users can record video with optical zoom in MPEG4 format at 640 x 480 at 30 fps.
The T800 boasts 12 different shooting modes, including manual mode, SSF (Super Shake Free) mode, portrait mode and night scene mode, providing users quick setting adjustments with a variety of shooting options.
The camera includes the PictBridge function for direct photo printing via a compatible printer and supports SD memory card of up to 4G. The camera is available in four colours: red, black, silver and white.
Due to be available in the UK in October, BenQ has yet to announce a price in the UK.
