Apart from providing us with near infinite opportunities for innuendo-loaded lines, Horn is also a fairly incredible app. It succeeds in taking the best of the likes of both Zelda and Infinity Blade, fusing them together to make a highly polished app experience on your mobile.

This is an app you want to show off your phone with: it has cutting-edge graphics, intuitive controls and more than enough gameplay to get stuck into.

iPad (version tested), iPhone, iPod touch

Horn works fairly simply on the surface. The story, which revolves around the game's lead character -conveniently called Horn - plays out straightforwardly, keeping in line with most computer game RPG conventions. We don't want to spoil things, but expect a lot more story to get your teeth into than most other applications.

Graphically, Horn is a total stunner. Art direction falls somewhere between games such as Shadow of the Colossus and Final Fantasy. It pushes the iPad and iPhone to its absolute limit and will often genuinely surprise you at just what the tablet can manage - this really is console quality graphics.

As for the game itself, there is a lot of Infinity Blade-style fighting and item collection. What spices it up is the in between really, which features lots of puzzling. This is a must-have game for your iPad or iPhone. Do consider though that on anything less than the latest gen, this title is going to struggle.
