The makers of Tweetie, the free Mac Twitter app, have released an update (version 1.1.1) bringing with it a number of bug fixes and requested features following feedback from users.
Users keen to be notified of new tweets, now have the ability to set notifications either as a small red dot on the dock icon or going one step further via noticed through Growl for the application that runs natively in OSX.
Users will also be able to save searches, mark all as read and send direct messages easier than before.
Other fixes include support for the img.ly and pix.im image services.
