Fans of Blur will be able to see new material from the Britpop band when they play live exclusivelyvia a feed on their official Twitter page.

The two tracks in question are Under The Westway and The Puritan, the first of which will be played at 6.15pm on Monday 2 July and the second at 7.15pm. Sandwiched in between the two performances will be an interview with the band held through Twitter, with fans able to ask their own question.

"People all over the world are connecting with the musicians they love on Twitter,” said Tony Wang, UK GM of Twitter.

“Blur is taking this idea even further by debuting their new singles through a live stream and having a direct conversation with their fans on the platform. They know what their fans want and are setting the pace for the future of artist engagement online."

Both tracks have been specifically written for Blur’s upcoming concert at Hyde Park on 12 August, though they’ll also be available to download immediately after the live stream has concluded.

To find the link to the live video stream, fans should visit @blurofficial on Twitter before 6.15pm on Monday 2 July.
