Sony’s new online community promises to showcase the very best established and emerging talent from the world of music and film. Vaionation.co.uk promises weekly videos, blogs and new music from some of the UK’s coolest talent.

Users can keep up to date with their favourite artists, chat with friends, write their own blogs, upload videos, music and photographs on their own homepage, as well as checking out the latest music and film industry news. What's more, users can rate the artist's tracks and videos, which make up the weekly charts.

Artists involved with the site include three-time BAFTA award winning writer/director Daniel Mulloy has also produced "Son", a 12-minute short film to celebrate the launch of the site, Norman Jay MBE, legendary DJ and master of funk, disco and soul, has produced "Loud Minority - The SV Project", using Sony’s Acid Pro software whereas Plan B’s bleak, cinematic, X-rated urban poetry can be sampled through "Who Needs Actions When You’ve Got Words?”. Leeds’ band Stateless has used Sony’s Soundforge software on their VAIO to record "Stitch Yourself Back Up" and Manchester based groove merchants, Keith, used the Vaio software to record, produce and mix their contributed track "Maintain Your Health". You can also check out unsigned WhiskyCats who took time out of their relentless gigging schedule to produce an exclusive remix of Contradictions for vaionation.co.uk.

All vaionation.co.uk artists have used their Sony VAIO laptops to create new material using its audio and video editing media software, including Sony ACID Pro and Sony Sound Forge programmes.
