Nokia used its Nokia World event to demonstrate how easy it is to pair the Nokia Purity Pro Stereo Headsets to its new Windows Phone 8 handsets - the Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820 - via NFC.

The headphones are actually manufactured by Monster and though they were unveiled at IFA at the end of August, Nokia was unable to show off the Purity Pro Stereo Headset’s NFC capabilities, until now.

Both the Nokia Lumia 920 and Nokia Lumia 820 can be paired to the headphones by lightly tapping the two devices together, much in the same way as the JBL PowerUp Wireless Charging Speaker

Of course if you’re a traditionalist then you can also pair the phone to the headphones via Bluetooth – there’s even an option to plug the headset into the phone if you’re really old school - which is the same technology used to stream any music you have stored on your Lumia to the headphones.

Available in red, yellow, white and black the Nokia Purity Pro Stereo Headset features Monster’s active noise cancellation for a clearer sound be it when listening to music or making a handsfree call.

Expect the Nokia Purity Pro Stereo Headsets to become available shortly after Windows Phone 8 is officially rolled out on 26 October.
