Two of the biggest photo apps on the iPhone have joined forces. Hipstamatic users can now share their photos to Instagram.

The new feature comes apart of an update now available in the iTunes store that lets users share with a single click their photos taken with the app.

It is the first time Instagram has opened up its service to other parties and is likely to be welcomed by Hipstamatic users keen to share their pictures on the social photo network.

Users are able to auto-tag the photo with the particular lens, film, and flash used, as well as to add a comment - all from within the Hipstamatic app.

The new app also brings the ability to share your picture to multiple social networks at the same time, as well as being able to tag your friends in Facebook. Users also get the option to view where there photo was taken and to where it was shared.

The new update is free to all Hipstamatic users. New users who've yet to download the app, can get it from iTunes for £1.49.
