iGoogle, Google's personalised homepage offering, has gone social with the inclusion of a stack of new gadgets that can be shared with your friends.
The new social gadgets for iGoogle let you share, collaborate and play games with your friends on top of all the things you can already do on your homepage according to the company.
Launching with 19 "gadgets" that range from chess and scrabble to YouTube and Huffington Post updates, the you'll even be able to create a social To-Do list gadget so you can nag your partner about getting the milk on the way home.
With over 60,000 gadgets already available, Google is hoping this new element will allow it to attempt to catch Yahoo's homepage offering which is still the market leader.
The catch? At the moment it looks like only US iGoogle users will be getting social for the time being.
We will keep you posted.
