Mac and Linux users who want to see what Google's currently PC-only Chrome browser looks like, will be glad to note the folk at CodeWeavers have run up a couple of versions just for them.

As the site points out, although Google has announced plans to support native Mac and Linux versions of Chromium, they have yet to be released, so they have stepped in to help out.

The Chromium codebase is the basis for Google's Chrome browser and CodeWeaver's "CrossOver Chromium" runs the Windows version of Chromium natively on both Mac and Linux.

The CodeWeavers say this is "just a proof of concept, for fun, and to showcase what Wine [the co's emulating software] can do".
