Google Play Newsstand for iOS now out, replaces Currents app

Google has launched its Google Play Newsstand app for iOS.
Initially released for Android devices last autumn, the app combines the features of Google Play Magazines and Google Currents into a single product. In fact, it is replacing the Currents app altogether. That means, if you have Currents, you should get a notice to update to Newsstand. The new app offers subscriptions to magazines, web feeds, and other news sources. There are "hundreds" of both free and paid publications available.
Newsstand automatically formats articles for reading on a mobile device, complete with support for images, audio, or video inline. You can also bookmark articles for reading later or cache them on the device for offline reading. In other words, Newsstand is like a read-it-later service combined with an RSS feed reader, and anyone in the following countries can access paid content through it: US, UK, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, and Spain.
New features within the app include new navigation, the ability to subscribe to topics you are most interested in, a library of your subscriptions, and a new design that Google promises will deliver a "streamlined news reading experience".
It's worth checking out the video demo for the Android version for more information. Both apps appear look and function the same.
