HTC made the announcement on Twitter that an over-the-air update of KitKat will arrive by the end of January. That’s when rollout begins so depending on your network it might end up being February by the time you actually get it.
The tweet read: “We're working with our local carriers to begin the rollout of Android 4.4 and Sense 5.5 for the #HTCOne from end of January 2014.”
If you have an unlocked device there’s no word on timing for that update at all just yet.
With the HTC M8 expected to land in March this could be a busy year ahead for HTC.
